Activities

NORTHERN LIGHTS
Our location, far away from any light pollution, makes Nordic Lakeside one of the best places in Sweden to watch the Northern Lights. From September to March — right from the lakeshore, no bus and no organised tour.
→ No booking required — just keep an eye on the sky.

SNOWMOBILE
Through snow-covered forests and across frozen lakes — snowmobiling is one of the most exhilarating winter experiences in Lapland. We can organise tours for you on request.
→ Bookable on request through us or our external partners.

ICE FISHING
A hole in the ice, a rod, silence — and sometimes a fish. Ice fishing on Lake Storavan is both meditative and exciting. Johannes will show you the best spots.
→ Bookable on request · Fishing licence required.

SNOWSHOEING
Hiking through a landscape completely transformed by snow. We hire out snowshoes on site — guided tours available on request.
Tips and seasonal offers
March is our insider tip. There's still snow everywhere, but the sun is already back — up to 16 hours of daylight a day. Snowshoeing or ice fishing by day, the Northern Lights by night. If you really want to get to know Lapland, come in March.
Winter here lasts from November to April. The best conditions for the Northern Lights are from December to March. Snowmobiling and ice fishing are possible once the ice cover is stable — typically from December onwards.
